Laura Jean DeNardo

Laura Jean DeNardo 85, died Jun. 26, 2011 at the Nampa Care facility in Nampa, Idaho. She was born June 29, 1929. When she was in high school World War II was going on. A lot of the teachers went into the Army. She didn't learn to type beacause they had only one teacher & she had a long waiting list. She never got in. She got married and started raising a family and so on. She had three boys Fred, Doug, and David. Her husband died (44) she was 34. Her son Fred was killed in Vietnam and Laura has a beautiful grand daughter named Evelyn from him. Once upon a time there was a lady who wore a big summer hat decorated with flowers and rode her bike on her daily out. She had a special flare as if she was the duchess unknown. She rode her bike on mainstreet in a well known town. Dear Sweet Cache Valley was her home. She would have stayed there in Utah if it weren't for the winters. She loved all creatures great and small. And she had a cat that loved her so. His name was Sam, a siamese cat who picked her over 7 other homes. Hers was the best and she took good care of him. Her other two sons have taken care of her as she grew older with age. She's been to Phoenix but the Allergys got bad. Then she moved to Idaho and that's where she stayed. She is survived by her sons Doug (Cindy) ID and David (Marci) AZ and their two boys Daniel & David. And a grand daughter Evelyn. Funeral arrangments made by Zeyer Funeral Chapel. Thanks to Nampa Care facility for taking care of such a lovely lady. She was a very good friend of mine and was sadden to hear of her passing. I found a small Obituary which really was a death notice yesterday so, I got her old letters out and tried to put together something to remember. I use to visit her once a week when I was growing up and I loved visiting her and seeing her cat. I don't know her husbands name or her parents names but did meet her Mother one summer. So that is why I dedicate this page to her so I can remember her. She was a great friend. Laura And Sam Laura and Sam in Phoenix Laura and her new fella Frigero

Oneida flatware

This month I discovered my love for Oneida flatware. Yes, Crazy but true! I have have a really nice set I was given by my mom when I got married 20 years ago. During that time I have had 5 kids who each get a chance to help in the kitchen cleaning up. Needless to say, this set still looks great and barely used. But checking inventory I realized I was short four spoons and four forks. So the hunt for new silverware was on. I love Oneida over other brands. I looked for possibly a new set. But wasn't happy with the prints I still like mine. I looked on Ebay and found out my set is still worth quite abit under the wear and tear. HaHa! Then I discovered they had fruit spoons to my set so I was able to buy not only new pieces to replace missing ones but gain the fruit spoons. So I guess, I can't depart from my favorite set!
